MAX and the New York City Gay Men's Chorus Perform on Elvis Duran and the Morning Show

Elvis Duran and the Morning Show listeners were treated to an incredible live radio performance from MAX and the New York City Gay Men's Chorus of "Still New York" in tribute to the seventeenth anniversary of September 11th

Host Elvis Duran addressed listeners before a moment of silence at 8:46 am ET, honoring the exact time when the first plane hit the World Trade Center’s North Tower.

"We couldn't think of a more appropriate man and song to be performed after our moment of remembrance and silence. And to have some of the brightest voices from an institution, the world-famous New York City Gay Men's Chorus backing with [MAX], this is going to be something that is one of the most special moments in our lives."

After the breathtaking live radio performance, MAX and the NYCGMC sat down with Duran to chat about the significance of the day and what New York City means to them. 

"[ESPN] did a beautiful 9/11 tribute that involves sports and how sports have brought so much pride and beauty to our city," MAX said about theSports After 9/11 he filmed. "We did a brand new video [for 'Still New York.'] The whole Gay Men's Chorus did a version with me and we had first responders and people who have serviced our city, people who were affected, who were victims as a part of the video." 

MAX went on to say how honored he is that his single 'Still New York' is recognized as a tribute to NYC. 

"Being a New Yorker, [September 11th] is a special day and we just want to give love to the people who make it a special city."

E:60 presentation of Comeback Season – Sports After 9/11 will air Tuesday, September 11, at 7 pm ET on ESPN.
