A handwritten letter Taylor Swift penned to Liam Payne nearly 10 years ago has resurfaced amid plans to auction off the note.

According to People, Omega Auctions is planning on December 2 to auction a message that the Life of a Showgirl musician wrote to the One Direction alum in 2017 where Swift told Payne that she was "always cheering" for him amid his solo career and even shouted out his song "Bedroom Floor," which was later featured on his 2019 solo album LP1.

"Liam, Long time no see! I'm so excited for you, you're crushing it out there. I'm obsessed with 'Bedroom Floor.' It's so cool to see you from afar, I'm always cheering you on. Good luck tonight!"

The letter was written on Swift's personalized stationery with a bedazzled "Liam" surrounded by stars decorating the envelope and "T" wax seal ensuring its privacy below the words "Nashville, Tennessee." Dated December 1, 2017, and reportedly sent to Payne prior to their individual performances at a holiday concert in London, the sentimental message is valued on the auctioneer's website at around £5,000 to £10,000, or $6,500 to $13,150.

Payne tragically died October 16, 2024, at just 31 years old after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Tributes poured in after his death and his friends and family have continued to honor his life in the year since his passing. Last month, his One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson opened up about the "impossibly difficult" experience of losing his "brother," while Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy detailed overcoming the "grief and pain" of losing her partner.
