Halle Bailey is set to bare her soul about the "heartbreak" she suffered on her upcoming debut album.

On Wednesday, October 8, the R&B singer announced the title of her first solo LP, love? or something like it. In the official trailer, Halle appears in a lavish red gown as she sets up the premise of her wild love story.

“Once upon a time, there was a young girl that believed in love," she says. "She believed everyone belonged to someone. So all she ever wanted in life was to find the truest form of love. Was it ever possible? And here's what happened.”

"love? or something like it’ — my debut album. a story of first love, heartbreak, and everything that comes after," she continued in her caption. "out 10/24. this one means everything to me. ♥️"

It seems like Halle may address the aftermath of her relationship with DDG. The couple broke up last year after they welcomed their first child, Halo. Since then, the couple has been going through the motions of their custody battle, and it's been a bit messy to say the least. Back in June, DDG claimed Halle posed an "imminent risk" to herself and their child after he accused Halle of acting erratically in the past. He submitted examples including "a series of alarming text messages threatening to kill herself and suggesting that their infant son, Halo, might also be harmed." He made the allegations after a judge granted Bailey temporary sole custody of Halo in May.

Halle started releasing solo music shortly after she starred in Disney's live-action film, The Little Mermaid, and sang the lead single from the soundtrack. Since then, she's shared a handful of singles, including "Angel," "Because I Love You" and "Braveface." She also collaborated with Leon Thomas on "Rather Be Alone" earlier this year.

Look out for Halle's debut album on October 24.
