Machine Gun Kelly Turning Pop Punk Album Into A Musical

Machine Gun Kelly is continuing to experiment with genres. After going from rap to rock, MGK is ready to dabble in musicals.

MGK tells “NME” that he’s planning to turn his new pop-punk album – produced by Blink-182’ Travis Barker –into a full-blown musical. In fact, he has it filmed the “pop-punk ‘Grease’” already, his directorial debut.

“I just shot it in four days with Mod Sun,” he says. “It was almost like shooting 14 music videos back-to-back, but with a narrative that’s outside of my personal life stories.”
