Doja Cat Confirms Collaboration With Ariana Grande

Doja Cat has confirmed a song with her and Ariana Grande “exists entirely.”

In case you didn’t know, there’s been a lot of talk about a potential collab featuring Doja, Grande, and the one and only Nicki Minaj. Rumor has it is the trio came together on an unreleased track, dubbed “DNA.” Fans even created some pretty convincing artwork for the unconfirmed track, which, sadly, won’t see the light of day… because it doesn’t exist.

Doja was burdened with breaking the disappointing news on Twitter last night (September 20), debunking the collaboration as completely made-up.

“I just want you guys to know the DNA collab is completely a fan made rumor and there wasn't any plan for it to happen but it sounds like a great idea and i'd love to do it,” Doja said. “Just wanted to debunk it all for you guys cuz i see you all in the comment section buggin out about it.”

Although the “Say So” singer hasn’t recorded a joint with both pop stars as yet, Doja did confirm that she and the “7 Rings” musician DO have a song in the chamber, tweeting, “HOWEVER the Ari and Doja collab exists entirely. <3”

Although it’s unclear when Arianators and Doja fans will be getting their earful of their duet, Genius has listed the song’s possible title as “love boy.”

The Sweetener star first casually confirmed the project in an interview in May. “I was able to work with her earlier this year on this song that I want to save for whenever it’s time again to drop,” Grande said in an interview at the time. “I remember when I first wrote it and sent it to her, she was in the shower and she was like, ‘B—h, I love this.’”

If the collab actually does come to fruition, it’ll mark the singers’ first time teaming up on a record throughout their respective music careers.
