The Advocacy Center for Crime Victims and Children began in 1976 as the Waco Rape Crisis Center. It has grown into an umbrella agency with three programs, the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC), The Victims Center and Prevention and Education offering many services to the hurting in our community. We operate in Falls, Bosque, Limestone, Freestone, Hill and McLennan Counties. Over the past 12 years, the Advocacy Center for Crime Victims and Children has: Conducted 4,520 developmentally sensitive and legally sound forensic interviews for children ages 2-17, responded to 3,860 crisis hotline calls and performed 2,410 sexual assault medical exams of children and adults in the Central Texas six county region. The ACCVC has also provided direct counseling and advocacy services to 36,220 primary and secondary victims of crime and presented 15,000 prevention related programs to more than 102,500 community members.
We are seeking Live & Silent auction donations for our upcoming 12th Annual Mardi Gras Ball to be held on February 17, 2024.
