Adele made her debut as the host of this past weekend’s edition of “Saturday Night Live” on NBC. To fan’s glee, she belted out several of her hits as she also brought the laughs… and brought in huge ratings for “SNL.”
The October 24th episode of the comedy sketch show raked in a whopping five-million viewers, compared to its average four-million, with almost half of them in the key demo. It was the top show of the night on all the Big 4 networks, managing to beat Game 4 of the World Series on Fox.
That’s the third-highest rating “SNL” has posted since Nielsen made some changes this time last year. The rating is only behind this month’s season premiere hosted by Chris Rock, and last December’s episode hosted by Eddie Murphy.
